JANNIK SINNER WINS THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN

Italy’s world number one has gone back-to-back at Melbourne Park.

Jannik Sinner has won the Australian Open for the second time, and his third grand slam in total.

Sinner defeats Alexander Zverev in straight-sets, 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3.

This win means Sinner has won the previous three hard court grand slams — Australian Open 2024, US Open 2024 and Australian Open 2025.

Alexander Zverev never had break point

Jannik Sinner was perfect on serve tonight.

The Italian world number one did not concede a break of serve in this match.

In fact, Alexander Zverev never had a break point.

Here are the only other times that has happened in a men’s grand slam final since 2000.

  • Roger Federer defeating Mark Philippoussis, Wimbledon 2003
  • Rafael Nadal defeating Kevin Anderson, US Open 2017
