Ranbir Kapoor’s Dhoom 4 to go on floors in 2026; actor to undergo MAJOR transformation | – Times of India

Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has been busy juggling his time between the film sets. While he will be busy shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War‘ this year, he will reportedly flag off the highly anticipated ‘Dhoom 4‘ next year.
According to reports on India Today, Kapoor, who has been selected as the lead actor for the next chapter in the Yash Raj Films action franchise, will reportedly begin filming the movie in April 2026 after wrapping up work on the Bhansali film. Buzz is that Kapoor will reportedly undergo a dramatic transformation for the role. He will reportedly be featured in four different looks.
The production team is finalising two female leads and a new antagonist, for the film that will reportedly be a reimagining of the franchise. Writer Vijay Krishna Acharya, who helmed the previous instalments, is reportedly crafting a ‘fresh and immersive’ narrative to revive the franchise.
Ranbir’s rumoured association with the project has been doing the rounds for several years with fans eager to see the actor add a fresh new perspective to the franchise. According to the report, Ranbir has “always shown interest” in the Dhoom franchise. Even producer Aditya Chopra believes that the hunk will be a perfect fit to take the legacy forward.
Kapoor already has a long list of exciting films to look forward to. While he is currently busy with Bhansali’s historical epic with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, he is also slated to appear in ‘Animal Park‘, the sequel to ‘Animal’ and Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’, a mythological epic that will see the star play the role of Lord Ram opposite Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.
